Well today scrapbook dreamer's monthly crop started... So I got in a few challenges today. I also doubled up one challenge with my letscrap challenge 12... go check out both of them! the run fat boy run was a challenge to use a movie in your layout (funny funny show) and also a sketch at letsscrap... they have GREAT SKETCHES!!!

BUT I'M BLOGGING! What's new? hmmmm.... I've found some cool new sites and love some others I already know! I just found paperpopsicles absolutely amazing kits... you will see a little on my grow layout....look at that awesome stem... seriously go to this website. They also teamed up with shimmerz (really cool way to add glimmer to your page (there is some on my big flower in my grow layout)! Also, scrapbookdreamer gave me some awesome news.... I get to be their featured member :) They are so sweet over there. I've got to get on some info for them ASAP now :) thanks girls! They have an awesome store where I just ordered a curvy cutter to cut big circles with... I CAN'T WAIT for it to get here! woohoo! Oooo and I just ordered some glimmer mist today!

this altered album is made of wood wall hangings that I bound together. This is my sweet niece Shayd! Now I've gotta start on some for my other 2 girls Ari and Addi...soon soon!!!

well I've put together this page the studio's blog challenge. It was really fun using something no scrap related on a layout :) I also used the same sketch for scrapbook dreamers challenge. I like the way it turned out.

hmm what to say? Well, I got a short run in last night, better than nothing. Logan Birthday is approaching so quickly, I can't believe he's almost 4. I created a couple layouts recently that I've loved. And, I really need to get to Roberts so I can discover some more goodies to add to my scrap supplies. I hope you each stop by theeverdayscrapper. Yay I made this layout of the cancer relay! It was amazing... I'm so happy my mom and Grandma B are survivors. Wish you coul've been there grandma B.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

It's another wonderful Wednesday ( well almost) Today I will show you a cute way to make use of old crystal light containers. It's a green way to give something to another person. This is a thank you container! As with all my wonderful Wednesdays, if you are a follower and make a comment on the board you have a chance to win this cute container to fill with treats and give to someone who deserves it :)

MATERIALS:
Crystal light container
PP (I use scraps)
fiskers edge paper punch of your choice
stamp of your choice
ribbon
hole punch
fiber
button
ink pad

1. cut a 3x12 piece of patterned paper, ink the edges and glue it around the container.
2. Cut another 3x12 paper. then use your fiskers to puch the edges. Ink and glue around container.

3. trace your lid then cut out the resulting circle and fit it inside the lid. (I also ink the edges of this.

4. get your ribbon and glue it around your container.
5. Ink your choice of stamps and then stamp the container

6. puch hole in the lid and side of the container.
7. slide fiber through to the top of the lid. Here, I like to add my button and tie a knot!

As you can see this is an easy project. A can do for any level of scrapper. and a cute way to say thank you.

Okay today is a wonderful Wednesday! I finished a few more layouts yesterday for challenges, but I also finished a cute coffee filter book. So I will let you know how I made it and if you want it simply become a follower and make a comment on this page :) yay.

here's the finished front for you to see :)

MATERIALS:
coffee filters
inks
papers
embellies of your choice

here are the type of coffee filters needed

you can ink them or paint them whatever you prefer. On this one I used inks, both ink pads and walnut and ranger sprays! If you use the sprays and are in a hurry, you can pop these wet filters in the microwave to speed up the drying process!

After you have the filters dry and inked then you can bind them. On this one I used a simple stapler technique, but I have used rings, ribbon, and thread before as well... They all turn out cute!

For my paper, I like to get rid of some of the wonderful scraps I keep on hand! You don't have to but it is a great way to use up the rest of really cute paper! I choose to cut my paper or rip it in numerous ways depending on the look I want!

As for embellishments, you can use whatever your heart desires! Also, don't forget you can put tags inside the filters and use them as pockets!

Wow what a weekend

well after completing my marathon on Friday I could barely walk.... yikes I was sore... today I'm feeling more like myself, but WOW WOW WOW! 26.2 done before I'm 26 woohoo my goal! So now I have some awesome pics I need to get uploaded to walmart so I can scrap them :) while I've tried to recover I've been doing scrap therapy on scrapbookdreamers message board... super fun... so here are some layouts I made for their challenges

The boys at play... I have been wanting to scrap these pics and I think it turned out so cute. I used a lot of acrylic paint and stitching on this.... and I love love love this glitz paper.

On another note, I probably won't update the blog tomorrow because of the marathon, but we'll see what happens... if not, see you saturday

I had hoped to upload a new layout of the boys today but it's been progressing slower then I'd like with everything else going on :) It is turning out cute though... I'm doing a lot of stitching which is fun but time consuming! Also, tonight I will be packing my bags to go to SLC for my marathon on friday so woohoo for that... I can't wait to see that finish line :)well that's all for today, but I am hoping to get another layout up soon

Inspired by my clean room I threw time into some new los. I finally scrapped our trip to the inauguration and just love the way my page tuned out. Then I did a lo of Woo's 1st bday party... not a happy camper. And, I also finished a 9 year book for James and me! I stared that album a long time ago, but hadn't finished, so yay me!
